BRIAN DE CLARE, PRESIDENT

Brian has over 35 years of experience in the natural resource industry, working with some of the most respected investment banks in the City of London. He’s done strategic advisory work for international Blue-Chip oil and gas producers, mining houses, large industrial consumers, pension funds, and governments. Brian was shortlisted for the Euromoney “World’s top 40 under 40 most likely to succeed in Investment Banking.” He was an advisor to the Clinton administration on energy issues. A regular guest on CNN, CNBC, BBC, and SKY television, Brian was also widely quoted in the commodities press. Brian currently manages all aspects of GEHC.

James Elphick

James Elphick is an environmental scientist with more than 10 years of experience as an environmental consultant. He has led projects spanning the energy, mining, pulp and paper, transportation, and municipal sectors. James has expertise in environmental toxicology, chemistry, and marine and freshwater ecology. His well-proven skills include developing mitigation strategies and designing and implementing monitoring programs to measure ecosystem health and function. James is a Registered Professional Biologist in British Columbia, designated by the British Columbia College of Applied Biology.

John Kuehne

John Kuehne thrives on the public company aspects of small and startup ventures. He has focused on capital formation and promotion of Canadian and US firms as the president of a highly successful small-cap investment and investor relations firm. John has also served on public company boards and audit committees in Canada and the US. As the CFO of a large forestry company, he experienced the practical side of corporate financings, mergers, and acquisitions. Nine years with Deloitte & Touche earned John certification as a Canadian CA and an American CPA (Illinois). John received a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Alberta and a master’s degree in management from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
